Himachal & Uttarakhand Cloudburst: A Tragic Disaster A catastrophic cloudburst has devastated several districts in Himachal Pradesh, including Manali, Shimla, and Mandi as well as parts of neighbouring state of Uttarakhand. Tragically, the disaster has claimed at least 15 lives, and around 50 individuals are still unaccounted for. As per the state emergency operation centre, the cloudbursts took place in Nirmand, Sainj, and Malana area in Kullu, Padhar in Mandi and Rampur in Shimla, with torrential rain washing away many houses, roads and bridges on its way. Heart-wrenching Impact A red alert has been issued by the state government along with rescue operations in order to rescue the victims of this catastrophic disaster.
