These hard-working women make gorgeous embroidered silk bags, women clothings and other products, which are marketed profitably through Sewa Kala Srushti Pvt. Ltd., which is a social enterprise for providing Maximum Benefits to producers from their products sales through market linkages. |
HIMSampada HIMSampada is the producer company being promoted by Sewa International under our Sustainable Livelihoods initiative in Uttarakhand, for our 4000+ women farmers who are part of our growing SHG network which now spreads over 150 villages in Rudraprayag and Chamoli districts. This initiative aims to ensure 'Maximum Earnings for the Producer', by making them all equal partners in the company. |  |

The activities are based around creating livelihood opportunities through local arts and crafts. In a rain-fed country like ours when global warming is on the rise and farmer suicides due to crop failure are rampant, we need to find solutions to problems occurring from crop failure or climate calamities. |
