Job Summary:

The Manager, Capacity Building will play a key role in creating and executing the curriculum for Sewa Fellows, developing session content, collaborating with academicians, practitioners, and experts, and mentoring fellows to nurture their leadership potential. This role also involves conducting market surveys for capacity-building programs, developing content for capacity-building programs for fellows and partner NGOs, and establishing strong performance management systems tailored to the individual needs of the Fellows.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive curriculum for Sewa Fellows, incorporating key learning objectives, reflective activities, skill-building workshops, and leadership development components.
  • Collaborate with academicians, practitioners, and subject matter experts to deliver sessions, workshops, and training modules that enhance the knowledge and skill sets of Sewa Fellows and partner NGOs. Foster strong relationships with faculty members and guest speakers, coordinating their involvement in the fellowship program and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Conduct needs assessments and market surveys to identify the capacity-building needs of Sewa Fellows and partner NGOs, ensuring program content and sessions align with their specific requirements.
  • Create session content and materials that align with the curriculum, incorporating relevant feedback, and ensuring they are engaging, informative, and relevant to the needs of the target audience. Develop content for capacity-building programs, including training materials, toolkits, guides, and resources, catering to the specific needs of Sewa Fellows and partner NGOs.
  • Mentor Sewa Fellows on their leadership journeys, providing guidance, support, and constructive feedback to help them develop their leadership competencies.
  • Establish performance management systems to assess and track the progress of Fellows, setting goals, providing regular feedback, and facilitating their growth and development.
  • Create differentiated support learning plans for individual Fellows and partner NGOs, identifying their unique needs and designing customized approaches to enhance their learning experience.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to measure the effectiveness and impact of the capacity-building initiatives, making necessary adjustments to improve the program's outcomes.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in leadership development and capacity building, incorporating relevant insights into the fellowship program.
  • Collaborate with the other team members to ensure seamless integration of the capacity-building initiatives with other program components, such as projects, partnerships, and events.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, social sciences, leadership development, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development, training facilitation, and capacity-building initiatives, preferably in the social development sector. Familiarity with adult learning methodologies and instructional design principles.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of leadership development principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with academicians, practitioners, and Fellows.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide individuals to foster their personal and professional growth.
  • Experience in performance management, goal setting, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt and customize learning approaches based on the unique needs and backgrounds of the Fellows and partner NGOs.
  • Passion for social development, empathy for the challenges faced by Fellows and NGOs, and commitment to their holistic growth.
