A Devastating Debacle!

Cyclone Remal has caused devastating catastrophe across the coastal regions of Bangladesh and Bengal, leaving a trail of devastation and suffering among the natives. With the death toll surpassing 30 lives, the devastating catastrophe has led to destruction of houses, infrastructure and livestock. Thousands of people have been forced to shift to shelter cares, leaving their homes behind.

Who is affected?

Strong winds and torrential winds battered the coastal regions of Bangladesh and India as Cyclone Remal made landfall on late Sunday in Bay of Bengal. The aftermath of Cyclone Remal unfurled a tale of tragedy in 4 north-eastern states of India.

West Bengal: The cyclone led to multiple fatalities and injuries, with hundreds affected.
Telangana: Several lives were lost, mainly due to falling trees and collapsing structures.
Northeast India:
- Mizoram:There were many deaths, including several from a stone quarry collapse caused by landslides.
- Assam:The cyclone resulted in a few deaths and multiple injuries, with extensive flooding impacting numerous districts.
- Meghalaya:There was at least one fatality and several injuries due to a landslide.
