Summary

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are suffering the worst tragedy in decades. Heavy rains have caused floods in several districts leaving low-lying areas submerged in water. Several houses have drowned and washed away by uncontrolled rains and jetting water. The disastrous effects are seen in many districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Mancherial, Bhupalpally and Bhadradri Kothagudem areas from Telangana and Eluru, Konaseema, West Godavari, and East Godavari of Andhra Pradesh have been severely affected. Thousands have been displaced from their homes under terrible conditions. To add to the misery, crops, food stocks, and cattle herds are also destroyed. Sewa International in collaboration with its implementation partner Seva Bharati (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) is helping the flood victims by distributing essential items. We are distributing grocery kits, clothes, linen and buckets, and children's kits to alleviate the pain and suffering of the people. Your contribution will restore their faith in humanity. Brief of Sewa International

Sewa International began as a movement in 1993 to engage the Indian Diaspora(NRI) worldwide. It encourages these people to remain connected with Indian roots through contribution to humanitarian causes locally and in India, especially in times of natural calamities like floods, earthquakes, cyclones, tsunamis, pandemics, etc. which cause large- scale distress, and need huge resources for recovery. The movement has spread its wings worldwide to more than 25 countries now.
