On December 4th, Tamil Nadu and its neighboring states faced relentless rain, reminiscent of the devastating floods in December 2015. The region is currently grappling with the aftermath of Cyclone Michaung, a powerful force that has caused widespread havoc and extensive damage. The combination of the cyclonic storm and continuous rainfall has led to tragic consequences, including loss of lives, destruction of homes, and damage to critical infrastructure. The recent heavy rains have triggered severe flooding and landfall, resulting in the loss of at least 8 lives and the displacement of 9,600 people in incidents related to the cyclone. Numerous suburban areas are now submerged under a deluge of water, bringing normal life to a standstill.

Sewa International, along with Seva Bharati volunteers, is on the front lines, committed to providing assistance to those severely affected by the floods. Our team is working round the clock in various regions to provide timely support to the affected families.
